Ages 2 to 3

Mommy & Me Art is a very creative, unique class that combines art elements with exciting projects. Together you and your child will create special keepsake art pieces in addition to learning some basic art skills.

In Mommy & Me Art you and your child will explore a variety of art materials, experience new textures, improve fine motor skills and enjoy being creative in a group setting. Each lesson is planned to expose the children to an element of art and a new art material. This class is tailored for children ages 2-5.

Ages 3 to 5

In Storybook, Art your child is taken on an exciting literary adventure. The class begins by listening to an engaging story. The children will then create a colorful art project inspired by the story. The children will discover through literature that you can learn all about the elements of art. Each week the children will learn a different art technique and explore a new art material.

Ages 3 to 5

This class is designed to allow students to explore different materials and techniques. It’s different from the Mommy & Me Art class since students are working without their grown-up. Students will independently experience a wide variety of projects and mediums allowing them to express their inner creativity while having fun!

Ages 5 to 8

This class is perfect for children who are just starting to show an interest in drawing. Children enrolled in this course will learn fundamental drawing techniques and skills, such as observation skills, usage of materials, space, shading, colors, and lighting, to help portray their ideas through their artwork. Children will be encouraged to let their creativity run free through their artwork, while also maintaining a set of ground rules before they begin!

Ages 7 to 11

This class is great for children who are more comfortable with the fundamentals of drawing and want to create more intricate projects. Children will be taught the many different steps necessary in order to follow their projects through to the end. We will continue to help hone your child’s observation skills and usage of space, while providing them with steps they can use to create a finished product using any medium!

Ages 14 to 17

The class  provides a wonderful opportunity for older students who have learned the basics of drawing to hone their observational skills. Since human portraits have proved to be the hardest subject to draw in history, Portrait and Advanced drawing will help students replace their old habits with more efficient ones when drawing what they see. Students will learn how to utilize different drawing materials such as different weighted pencils, charcoal, and different papers to achieve different visual effects, while also studying both the human body and the world around them!

Ages 9 to 14

In this class students will learn the basic techniques of painting and experiment with various tools to paint with. Students will use a variety of different types of paint including tempera, acrylic and watercolor. They will begin to learn about color, color mixing and texture.

Ages 14 to 17

Students will learn painting skills, using acrylic, tempera and watercolors. Students will be introduced to skills required to render accurately what they see. They will create a landscape and explore still life painting. Students will learn about color theory as well as beginning to explore light and shadows in art. Students will be paint on canvas and canvas board.

Ages 5 to 8

In this class children will learn the basic fundamentals of composition through 2D and 3D design. The children will be introduced to a different artist and learn about the history of that artist. They will use shape, texture and color to create vibrant pieces of art. Children will explore collage and printmaking. They will combine different painting, drawing and sculpting methods and materials to create works of art.

Ages 7 to 11

In this class, children will learn the fundamentals of composition through 2D and 3D design. They will be introduced to different artists, the history of those artists, as well as related mediums and artistic techniques. Through this, students will explore various methods of art making while creating their own unique works of art by combining aspects from painting, drawing, and sculpting.

Ages 11 to 14

In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of composition through 2D and 3D design. They will be introduced to different artists, the history of those artists, as well as related mediums and more advanced artistic techniques. Through this, students will explore more advanced methods of art making, while creating their own unique works of art. These methods will combine aspects from painting, drawing, and sculpting to create individual pieces of art.

Ages 5 to 8

In this class students will begin to learn basic hand building techniques using air-dry clay. They will use a wide variety of tools and learn new techniques about 3 dimensional building. Each week students will learn new techniques and build their knowledge of structure, shapes and form.

Ages 7 to 12

In this class students will learn about 3 dimensional building and design. They will explore different materials such as paper mache, wire and clay. Students will be guided to create their own unique sculptures.

Ages 13 to 17

In this class students will learn about 3 dimensional building and design. They will explore different materials such as paper mache, wire and clay. Students will be guided to create their own unique sculptures.
